Beerfest (Unrated)

Beerfest (Unrated) is a 2006 comedy film starring comedy group Broken Lizard, directed by one of their members, Jay Chandrasekhat, and written by him and four other members of the group, including Steve Lemme and Kevin Heffernan. Brothers Jan and Todd Wolfhouse (Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske) travel to Germany to scatter their father's ashes and end up in a brawl at Beerfest, a drinking tournament in Munich, where the leader of the competition, Baron Wolfgang von Wolfhausen, accuses their deceased grandfather of stealing his family's beer recipe and running away with his prostitute mother, Gam Gam. After being shamed in a drastic drinking face-off defeat, Jan and Todd return to their home state of Clorado to recruit and train their friends for an American Beerfest team. Their friends are Phil "Landfill" Krundle, a competitive eater, Charlie "Fink" Finklestein, a nerdy Jewish scientist with knowledge of beer and chemistry, and Barry Badrinath, who succeeds at drinking games but works as a homeless male prostitute. During training, the brothers discover that Johann had the recipe rightfully, as the original Baron gave it to him because Johann was his first-born child. They brew beer following the recipe and make Schnitzengiggle, which is so delicious it makes them cry. They return to Germany with not only Beerfest on the line, but also the rightful claim to the recipe and the Bavarian brewery, when it comes down to the crucial challenge of drinking out of Das Boot, a giant boot that requires a specific technique to drink dry.
