Battle of the Bulge is a 1965 film about the last ditch Nazi offensive of World War II. Colonel Daniel Kiley (Henry Fonda) is an American reconnaissance expert who believes he has evidence that the German forces will launch a counteroffensive, but he is not able to convince his superior, General Grey (Robert Ryan). Most of the Allied leaders believe that the German forces are on the run and ignore Kiley's evidence. As counterpoint, Colonel Martin Hessler (Robert Shaw) is the German leader put in charge of the counteroffensive. Hitler believes this desperate push can buy the Germans enough time to roll out the advanced weapons, still in the development stages, they need to win the war.
