Battle in Heaven is a dramatically romantic film that was written, directed, produced and edited by Carlos Reygadas and was the winner for Best Latin American Film in the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival in 2005. This sexually charged and explicit film is centered in Mexico City around the tumultuous torment of a man and his unthinkable actions of the past. Marcos (Marcos Hernandez), a working class man who works as a chauffer for a powerful general, feels an insatiable urge to revel his haunting secret to the general's daughter, Ana (Anapola Mushkadiz). Ana is an interesting woman in her own right. She works as a prostitute merely for the pleasure of the game since she is a wealthy woman from a successful family. Marcos searches for redemption through his guilty relief. Him and his wife kidnapped an infant in an effort to collect a ransom. The kidnapping ended tragically when the infant sudden dies.MORE[EDIT]
