An aspiring writer faces financial hardship and discusses having to close his bank account with a morning commuter friend, who questions how writers make money, to which the writer explains the "Magic Pie" theory of residuals. Inspired by the 2007 writer's strike and the Bush era recession. The Magic Pie and plumber analogies of video residuals for writers, used in the story, were inspired by a message board discussion on The Artful Writer, Craig Mazin's (Scary Movie 4) blog and website, during the 2007 writer's strike. Excellent performances by Greg Crafts as the Waiter-Writer and Keith Bush as The Other Guy[EDIT]
