Babe: Pig in the City, the sequel to Babe, is a 1998 children's comedy/drama written and directed by George Miller. After successfully becoming a champion sheep herder in the last film, Babe (Elizabeth Daily) is now living as a hero with Arthur Hoggett (James Cromwell) and his wife, Esme (Magda Szubanski), on their farm. Babe's pleasant life is suddenly threatened when the bank threatens to foreclose on the farm. Unfortunately, Arthur is soon critically injured in an accident, so he can't work to raise enough money for the taxes. After some bumbling attempts to farm the land herself, Esme decides that the only way she can raise the funds quickly is by showing Babe's sheep herding skills at an exposition in the big city.
