Arizona Whirlwind is the third in the series of "Trail Blazers" Westerns and features Hoot Gibson, Ken Maynard and Bob Steele. This trio play U.S. Marshalls; Hoot, Ken and Bob, who witness a gang of Native Americans carrying out a raid on a stagecoach in the old wild west. When they investigate the stagecoach robbery, they discover that the bandits are not Native Americans, but are really white men disguised as Indians. The leader of the gang of bandits is the gangster Polini (Ian Keith), who has smuggled diamonds hidden in the axle grease of the stagecoach wheels.
