April Fools is a suspenseful slasher film directed by Nancy Norman and released in 2007. The film opens on April Fool's Day, exactly one year after protagonist DeAnna Combs (Aaliyah Franks) and her closest friends pulled an elaborate prank on her nerdy classmate Melvin (Lamorne Morris). The prank flew out of control and cost Melvin his life, much to the horror of DeAnna and her friends. One year later, a strange hooded figure has appeared in the neighborhood and is relentlessly stalking DeAnna and her closest friends. The shadowy killer's identity is a mystery, but whoever is beneath the hood clearly knows about the prank that killed Melvin and won't stop until everyone responsible is dead.
