Ants (2004) is an Indian made drama starring, produced and directed by Sunil Babbar. This award-winning film was shot entirely on location in the city of Chandigarh, India and tells the story of 27 unique people travelling together on a long-distance bus trip across the country. The disparate group of bus travelers represent all the sections of Indian life and each traveler comes from a different level of Indian society. The travelers meet each other, move around together and talk to each other as they reach their individual destinations like a colony of ants moving in a line on a tree or a wall. As the long bus trip continues on, the travelers begin to learn more about one and other and eventually come to the realization that they may not be as different from each other as they initially presumed.
