Anchors Aweigh is a musical comedy originally released in 1945. Clarence Doolittle (Frank Sinatra) and Joseph Brady (Gene Kelly) are Navy sailors on leave for four days in Hollywood. Joe is wise to the ways of the world, but Clarence is naive and unsuspecting. While Joe is pinning for some alone time with a show girl named Lola, who the audience never sees, Clarence is trying to meet a girl. While helping a little boy (Dean Stockwell) find his way home, they meet his young aunt, Susan Abbot (Kathryn Grayson). She wants nothing more than to be a professional singer.
