Anatomy of Hell is a 2004 French film by Catherine Breillat, based on her novel Pornocratie. When a suicidal young woman is discovered in the bathroom of a gay bar, she convinces the patron who discovered her to watch her for four days. She pays the man for his time and spends the days discussing her views on sexuality. As the man begins to understand the woman's sexuality, the two experiment with different types of pleasure, induced by themselves and by each other. Starring Amira Casar as "The woman" and Rocco Siffredi as "The man," Anatomy of Hell received terrible reviews, with famed film critic Leonard Maltin calling the film "homophobic" and "unintentionally funny."
