American Psycho is a 2000 black comedy-thriller starring Christian Bale in a story about materialistic yuppies living in 1980s Manhattan, and one man who leads a double life-successful Wall Street investment banker by day, deranged rapist and serial killer by night. Bale plays Patrick Bateman, a wealthy man at the beginning of a successful career who sees everything around him with a price tag attached.
