Amadeus is a 1974 biopic about the lives of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, famous composers living in Vienna in the latter half of the 18th century. Mostly taking place in a flashback, the story is told through Salieri's eyes, as he sits in an insane asylum. The rivalry between the two musicians becomes too intense for Salieri, and eventually he goes mad with jealousy. Salieri believes that God is laughing at him by endowing Mozart with musical genius far greater than that of his own. Salieri plots to kill Mozart and commissions him to compose a requiem, which unbeknownst to Mozart will be used at his own funeral. When Salieri finally accepts Mozart's brilliance, it is too late for the composer, as Mozart collapses from MORE [EDIT]
