All The King's Men is a 2006 drama based on the 1946 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name by Robert Penn Warren. The film stars Sean Penn as Willie Stark, an idealistic lawyer who is thrust into politics after a couple acquaintances pressure him to enter the race for Louisiana governor. When Stark discovers he's only in the race to split the vote along the party lines, his determination to win only strengthens. The people who pushed him to enter the race soon fear they've created a monster, as Stark turns out to be a political powerhouse, loved by the voters and ruthless in his personal life.
