Alice

Alice is a science fiction adventure miniseries loosely based on the classic Alice In Wonderland story Alice (Caterina Scorsone) is a young girl in her twenties, still reeling from her martial arts instructor father leaving when she was a girl. Although she acquired his ability to kick butt and take names, she also has picked up a litany of problems with men in general, so when her boyfriend, Jack Chase (Philip Winchester) offers her a ring, she panics and tells him to leave. But as she turns to watch him go, he is nabbed by a couple of street punks, prompting Alice to run after him, where she inevitably passes though the looking glass and down the rabbit hole, into Wonderland. There she quickly learns that the evil Queen Of Hearts (Kathy Bates) is stealing people from our world to harvest their emotions, and needs the ring that Jack, unbeknownst to Alice, slipped in her pocket, in order continue her mission. Together with the Hatter (Andrew Lee Potts), Alice sets out to find Jack, running into all the old familiar faces in a more sinister Wonderland than anyone has ever seen. Also starring Tim Curry and Harry Dean Stanton, Alice is a slightly darker, more grown up, and breathtaking re-imagining of Lewis Carrol's eternal novel. MORE [EDIT]
