Air Bud: Golden Receiver

Air Bud: Golden Receiver is a 1998 family comedy directed by Richard Martin. The film is set in Ferfield, Washington, and stars an athletically talented golden retriever named Buddy. In Ferfield, Buddy, nicknamed Air Bud, is well-known by the locals for his amazing basketball skills. He has recently been adopted by teenager, Josh Framm (Kevin Zegers) and his mother Jackie (Cynthia Stevenson). Josh loves Buddy but is irritated with his mother because she has begun dating a veterinarian, Patrick Sullivan (Gregory Harrison) who he does not like. One day while trying to bond with Josh, Patrick throws a football and Buddy shows he has more athletic talent than anyone knew. Soon Buddy's talent throws Josh into the spotlight as the two are recruited to play for his junior high football team, the Timberwolves. However, Buddy's talent has drawn the attention of two Russian circus owners who would love to add Buddy to their array of circus acts.
