Actium Maximus: War of the Alien Dinosaurs is a 2005 science-fiction directed by Mark Hicks. Grand-Automation Poplox (Johnathan Daniel McCuin) is the dictator of the colony Actium. Actium is struggling under an impending collapse; religious minorities are being assassinated by the government, riots are happening everywhere and the economy is collapsing. In an effort to distract his ignorant citizens, Poplox organizes the Alien Maximus Karnivale, a competition where alien dinosaurs brutally fight to the death in front of a live cheering audience that loves the blood and gore of the fights. Enjoying the Karnivale, Poplox sends one of his goons, Jacinlun Axezun (Mark Hicks), to search the galaxy for even more dangerous creatures to show in the Karnivale. Axezun takes his task seriously and ventures all over the galaxy looking for something that will please Poplox.
