About a Boy, based on a novel by Nick Hornby, is a story about Will Freeman (Hugh Grant), a self-absorbed 38-year-old, who learns lessons on how to be an adult from 12-year-old Marcus (Nicholas Hoult). Marcus lives with his depressed single mother, and he tries everything, no matter the cost to himself, to make her happy.
