A Serious Man is the latest dramedy from the masters of the satirical screwball comedy the Coen Brothers (Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou, The Man Who Wasn't There, Miller's Crossing, Blood Simple, The Hudsucker Proxy, No Country For Old Men). Larry Gopnik is a simple physics professor having a complicated run of bad luck as of late. In a very short space of time, he loses his wife to his best friend, continues to suffer from the moochings of his boil-ridden brother who is terminally stuck on his couch until he finds a job, much to the chagrin of Larry's daughter and distant son, who is obsessed with Jefferson Airplane and his walkman.
