A Nightmare on Elm Street

A Nightmare on Elm Street is a 1984 horror film directed by Wes Craven. Shy, serious Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) has been plagued by bad dreams lately. Not only are the dreams horrifying, but they seem strangely realistic. Nancy discovers that her friend, Tina (Amanda Wyss), has had the nightmares as well. Trying to be levelheaded, Nancy reassures Tina that the dreams are harmless, but her friend is still anxious. She decides to hold a sleepover at her house, attended by Nancy, Nancy's boyfriend Glenn (Johnny Depp) and Tina's boyfriend Rod (Nick Corri). In the morning, Nancy and Glenn are shocked to find that Tina has been brutally murdered overnight. The police take Rod into custody and the neighborhood tries to recover from the grisly murder. However, Nancy cannot stop thinking about Tina's nightmares. She suspects that Rod is not really the killer, and when other neighborhood teenagers start to die, she becomes even more convinced. As Nancy struggles to solve the mystery of a strange supernatural killer (Robert Englund) and his lust for vengeance, she also has to try to stay awake. MORE [EDIT]
