A Night in Casablanca is a 1946 comedy co-written by Joseph Fields and Roland Kibbee and directed by Archie Mayo. It is pre-war Casablanca; Ronald Kornblow (Groucho Marx) is an unwitting motel manager who has been hired to manage an upscale hotel. There is one problem; all the previous managers are dead, victims of unsolved murders. The French authorities suspect that former Nazis are involved. Lt. Pierre Delmar (Charles Drake) suspects that somewhere within the hotel there is hidden a treasure of war booty. Delmar also suspects, but cannot prove, that the mysterious Count Pfefferman (Sig Ruman) is the driving force behind the murders.
