9/12: From Chaos To Community is a documentary about the rebuilding process at Ground Zero in New York, and in the United States as a whole which began on September 12, 2001. The plot is character-driven, focusing on the lives of 12 New Yorkers. These 12 volunteers- Toolie, Lix Carvajal, John Cadue, Alex Lopez, Debbie Kahn, Steve Schreck, John McGuire, John Casalinuovo, Denise Casalinuovo, Amalia Solano, Paul Geidel and Ralph Heidel manned relief stations, searched for survivors and provided care for recovery workers in the days and months following the September 11th attacks. The film employs a series of archival photographs, video segments, interview clips, and news footage to follow characters from September 12th to the last day of their relief efforts. This footage captures the unique relationships that develop between relief volunteers who come from very different cultural and personal backgrounds, but unite in a common goal. Finally, it reunites the characters with one another to bring closure to the films events.MORE[EDIT]
