There’s no better time to jump on a bandwagon than at the beginning of a new TV series, so here’s one in particular to look out for this month (and to consider riding out for the long-haul if it’s up your alley):
Premium cable channels have been known to release the pilot episode of a new series online, usually in an attempt to get people hooked and interested in signing up for the channel at home,
but rarely do these channels release an episode as far in advance as AMC did for the new TV series, Rubicon. Though the series doesn’t air on your TV until August 1st, AMC recently let its first episode loose on the Web.
If you haven’t already seen it, you should. Rubicon is about New York City analyst Will Travers (HBO’s The Pacific star James Badge Dale) who discovers a secret pattern in a crossword puzzle that ends up drawing him into the middle of a serious conspiracy. If that sounds awesome to you (as I’m sure it does), make sure to check it out sooner rather than later because these pilots have been known to come offline soon after the episodes air on TV.
