Unless you’re a fan of the show, you probably don’t understand how rare this is, but CBS just posted the season 8 premiere of Two and a Half Men to CBS.com, and we couldn’t be happier. Why? Because it’s good. Also because it’s one of five CBS shows that aired last night and were made available online as early as this morning. We’re crossing our fingers that this is a sign of things to come.

CBS was the one of the only broadcast networks to tell Hulu to keep its hands to itself back when they had a chance to join forces. The network bought TV.com to secure total control over its online content, which streams on both CBS.com and TV.com.  The thing is, Hulu has a fairly regimented release schedule for episodes, so audiences generally have an idea of what to expect and when. Up until this point, CBS and TV.com are relatively unpredictable. Shows like The Mentalist and Two and a Half Men are rarely online and Late Night shows like Late Night with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson are on a 3+ day delay and come up and down rather sporadically. And as far as the Internet’s concerned, it’s as though The Big Bang Theory never happened, as the network’s biggest comedy has never seen the light of day online. But today, CBS has delighted us by posting every single episode that aired last night. New shows (Hawaii Five-O, Mike & Molly) and returning shows (How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement) alike.

So what do we do now? Well, now we wait. We wait and we hope that this trend continues. And in the meantime, we watch.

Wait, a Chuck Lorre show on the internet? And it’s not The Big Bang Theory? Crazy.
