It looks like another perfect weekend for live events. Here’s what’s on the docket for this weekend:
The 2010 Ryder Cup is here and it is streaming live starting tomorrow at 2:45am ET for those of us in the United States. In fact, American fans should take note of the PGA’s schedule of events to get the most accurate information about what players are teeing off and when, seeing as the event is taking place in Wales. Team USA and Team Europe have been announced and are listed here and here, respectively. The tournament will run through October 3rd and the entire streaming schedule can be found on Clicker’s event page.
The Matador At 21 event is a three-day celebration of the 21st anniversary of the Matador record label. To honor the occasion, current and former bands from the label will be performing over the weekend. The acts performing include Pavement, Sonic Youth, Spoon, Guided By Voices, Superchunk, Ted Leo + The Pharmacists and more. For those of us who are not lucky enough to be attending, Myspace has announced that they will be streaming the acts live at their Matador page for the whole weekend. I think everyone can agree that this is one of the best things to happen in the land of live streaming.
That’s what’s big this weekend! And don’t forget: as always, Sunday Night Football Extra will be streaming live online at 8pm ET, as well. This week it’s the Chicago Bears facing off against The New York Giants.
