Well, the gift-giving part of the holidays is officially over and as we sit here admiring our stash of new socks, that book we wanted, and our sweet new collection of music and DVDs, we ask ourselves: did we really get what we wanted this year?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Why? Because we here at Clicker are insatiably obsessed with the stuff of imagination (or, more accurately, of television and movies). You know, the hover boards that should exist by now but don’t. The teleportation devices that would have saved us a lot of time in traffic over the years. In short, to fill the void that these nonexistent toys have left in our hearts, our team has devised a wish list comprised of the top 20 items that, if ever given the opportunity to unwrap, we would go absolutely ape for:
20. The bike from E.T.
19. Tron Lightcycle
(old or new)

18. Downloadable knowledge from The Matrix

17. The remote from the Adam’s Sandler movie, Click
16. Citizen Kane’s sled, Rosebud

15. A duster from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Okay. It’s real. But it’s too awesome not to want.

14. Rosie the robot maid from The Jetsons

13. The air cannon from District 9
12. An everlasting gobstopper from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

11. The Jumanji board game

10. The “Wrap It Up” Box from Chapelle’s Show

9. Rodney Dangerfield’s golf bag from Caddyshack
Radio, beer tap, and it automatically shoots out clubs:

8. The chess game R2D2 and Chewy play in Star Wars
(Oh, and a light saber wouldn’t hurt, either.)
7. Jet pack from The Rocketeer
6. A Wall-E

5. Harry Potter’s invisible cloak.
(okay, admittedly anything from Harry Potter)

4. FTL from Battlestar Galactica
3. Data’s “Pinchers of Peril” from The Goonies

2. A Mogwai

1. Red Ryder carbine-action, two hundred shot Range Model air rifle with a compass in the stock and a thing which tells time.
(from A Christmas Story)
