10.11.10 Update: NBC pulls the plug on Outlaw. Watch the first four episodes while they are available.
10.1.10 Update: My Generation gets the axe. Watch the first two episodes to see what could have been.
9.28.10 Update: Lone Star is already a goner. Watch the first two episodes to see what could have been.
Not too long ago, our resident TV critic Michael Reilly took aim at the fall 2010 TV schedules for the major broadcast networks and declared one show from each dead on arrival. Here are the shows on his hit list:
- From CBS: $#*! My Dad Says
- From NBC: Outsourced
- From FOX: Raising Hope
- From ABC: My Generation
With most of the Fall’s new shows having aired at least one episode, it felt right to take a straw poll of the TV loving employees at Clicker to see which shows are most likely to bite the dust in the coming weeks.
Given that last night’s Lone Star episode might very well be its last, we’ll probably see whether these predictions come true quite soon. Shockingly, the Clicker staff only supports 9 out of the 26 shows that emerged this season. Is it a less than average year for new shows? Or are we just so tied up in Glee, Modern Family, Community, Mad Men and Boardwalk Empire (already renewed!) that we can’t add more shows to the rotation? For me it’s the latter, but it’s also quite clear that Team Clicker might be slightly out of touch with the rest of CBS-loving America.
In any case, we wanted to share our predictions with you. Let us know if you think we’ve made our marks:
