It’s here! Just got word from Apple that we’re live. Clicker is now available on the iPhone. And not that weak Safari version either. It’s what the kids are calling an “Application” these days, and you can get it right here, right now: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/clicker-com/id388343479?mt=8
So what’s Clicker for iPhone like? What does it do? We made a little video to explain that:
(Warning: Unlike Apple, we don’t use any cute guitar-strumming chanteuse background music in this video. We use full-on house music. That’s right.)
For those who aren’t into house music or fake iPhone dramatizations, here is a list of the leading features of the App:
- Search Clicker’s massive database of online programming
- Check-in to your favorite TV shows, movies, and Web series
- Follow your friends on Clicker and see what they’re watching
- Rate and discuss shows and movies
- Earn show awards and badges
- Manage your Clicker Playlist
- Filter searches by, and play, iPhone-friendly videos
- Purchase movies and TV shows through iTunes after finding them via Clicker (easier than searching iTunes itself!)
The first question we are getting about the iPhone app seems to be, “So when are you launching an iPad app?” To that we say, “We’re working on it, champ.” (But we expect to launch it in early October.)
