After carefully constructing the odds for a majority of the categories honored at last night’s Streamy Awards, we’d like to take a brief moment to review our predictions. It turns out we were pretty spot-on! While some of the biggest names won as expected, a few surprises managed to work their way into the ceremony, too. The evening’s biggest take-away? Do not underestimate Felicia Day. She took home the Best Actress in a Comedy web series for the second straight year and once again delivered the show’s best acceptance speech.
The rest of the award show was quite controversial as has already been widely discussed in the web community. If you missed out on the live stream (brimming with technical difficulties as it was), you should definitely look into some of these amazing nominated web series yourself. Many productions are of broadcast TV quality and extremely deserving of their success and fan followings.
