experts spanning the globe based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market

“[Clicker] users can count on accurate, working links and high-quality streams, which makes Clicker significantly more reliable and easier to
use than your garden variety BitTorrent site... To integrate Clicker more quickly into students' routines, the university will add many of the videos
produced on campus to Clicker's index. These will include recordings of lectures, faculty interviews, sports press conferences and promotional clips.”

“The problem is, all of this video is spread out over a billion places on the Web, much of it hard to locate. Users need a good central directory to bring
it all together, and Clicker does the best job I've seen of offering exactly that. The site finds the locations of the video you want to watch, and links you directly
to it.”

“The idea is that you can go to Clicker thinking, ‘I'm in the mood for a science fiction comedy
produced by the same people who made that other show I like,’ and find something to satisfy your craving.”

“We've labeled Clicker.com as a one-stop shop for streaming television, and it makes great sense as a dedicated app in the media
center Boxee. From one interface, you can find nearly everything you can stream to your TV-connected setup.”

“If you spend a lot of time in front of your computer and find yourself searching all over the Web for the TV
shows you'd like to watch, Clicker will be a huge help. And even if your show isn't available, you might find
something similar—or better—in Clicker's recommendations.”

“Arranging all that mine of information itself is a huge challenge and Clicker does it seamlessly. The search doesn't overwhelm the user with thousands of mish-mashed results like a general search engine but delivers trimmed down, on the button results. The content is indexed well as felt from the fast auto-suggestions and the search results. The site seems to be updated frequently as I didn’t get a dropped link. That’s an incredible achievement when you have a site which has content drawn from so many different sources.”

“Clicker's data includes programming that appears online from all the usual broadcast suspects (and many more), as well as broadcast-quality Web originals. Certain podcasts are also indexed — lectures and academic panels at Stanford University, for instance -- but Clicker isn’t meant to find every last clip on YouTube. It also brings up only what it considers to be legal content.”

“Here's a word you're going to be hearing a lot of — Clicker! I know I often bombard you with the names of sites that stream TV shows and movies online, but now you can throw all of that knowledge out the window because a new streaming site called Clicker aggregates practically all of the shows across the web into one location.”

“In last week's review, we called Clicker a "one-stop shop for online video."
Today's updates and the public launch turn it into an even more convenient
service. The most important new feature is the improved playlist, which now
makes it even easier to watch shows on the Internet and to keep track of
which ones you have already seen.”

“My favorite Clicker feature thus far is the Playlist, a virtual DVR that keeps track of your favorite shows,
films, news videos, and so on. If you missed an episode of a particular TV sitcom or drama, you can find
it fast via your Playlist. I'm sure I'll find more likes and dislikes as I delve deeper into Clicker. But
for now, I'm impressed. If you watch a lot of movies or TV shows online, this programming guide is worth a look.”

“What Clicker has done more than other sites is organize the Web’s farflung offerings, using a structured database
of listings rather like Wikipedia, Yelp, and the Amazon movie site IMDB.com do, into a format that makes it
easier to find what kinds of video you’re looking for.”

“It's fast and powerful, and it should grow in utility as visitors use the site's wiki
features to elaborate on the programming notes. Another nice feature: In
addition to free content, it indexes movies and TV shows that Amazon provides
on a pay-per-view basis and Netflix makes available to subscribers. And rather
than ignoring shows that aren't available legitimately online, it tells you when
content providers are withholding them (that means you, HBO).”

“Through partnerships with content creators and its own scouring of the Web, Clicker creates a database
of programs. When users search, the results are clustered according to the network that produced the content.
Clicker says it finds only content that has been uploaded legally, and it tries to locate its original source.”

“ While there are no shortage of video search engines out there, Clicker believes its
offering is superior because it creates a structured database of programming, organizing shows by
things like network, genre, and show name.”
