Management Team

Jim Lanzone, CEO

Jim has spent the past 13 years in the Internet industry, starting as co-founder of a startup called eTour and most recently serving as CEO of search engine Ask.com. In between he had adventures with such colorful characters as Mahir "I Kiss You" Cagri and a butler named Jeeves. After leaving Ask in 2008, Jim took a position as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Redpoint Ventures, the investors behind companies like MySpace, Tivo and Netflix, and got the bug to start a company again. He called a few of his former Ask compadres, added some new ones, and got to work building Clicker. Jim grew up in San Carlos, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley. He likes to brag that he went to the same high school as Barry Bonds and Tom Brady, and by all accounts it appears to be true. Jim holds a BA from UCLA and a JD/MBA from Emory University.

Paul Wehrley, COO

Paul has been involved in the Internet since NCSA Mosaic. What started as part-time coding during college moved on to buying and selling companies as an M&A analyst with Volpe Brown Whelan & Co. Ten years ago, Paul joined the small search company Ask Jeeves. He originally worked in M&A at Ask, acquiring over 15 companies during his tenure from Director to VP Corporate Development. He completed his time at Ask as VP Strategy and Operations, where he oversaw the Ask P&L, drove its strategic planning process, and managed the company's business development group. Paul once shot a 54 at the Old Course at St. Andrew's (note: in Tiger Woods golf). He enjoys scuba diving, burritos, and not cooking. Paul holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University.

Elizabeth Carrasco, CTO

Liz has been leading key technology groups for over a decade, most recently at SpotRunner. Before that she was VP of Ad Systems Engineering at United Online, and Director of Search Serving Engineering at Overture Inc, later Yahoo! Search Marketing. She learned the joy of complex project design doing systems engineering -- designing satellites -- at TRW, after obtaining her BS in Mechanical Engineering at Caltech. Besides being super proud of her team, Liz is a big fan of ubicomp, and will choose pull-media over push in almost every conceivable situation.

Ryan Massie, EVP, Products

Ryan manages all things product and content for Clicker. Prior to Clicker, Ryan ran vertical search product development at Ask.com, where he launched and managed AskCity, Mobile, News, Maps, and various cross-company initiatives for Interactive Corp (IAC). Prior to Ask, Ryan held business and product management positions with CareerBuilder.com and ChoicePoint. Ryan graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Psychology and he earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Ryan grew up in Lexington, KY, and spent his college years in Durham, N.C. That, along with his passion for Kentucky basketball and being a Kentucky Colonel, makes him a Southerner.

Jeff Shultz, Senior VP, Business Development

Jeff leads business strategy and development for Clicker, the complete programming guide for Internet television. Previously Jeff was the Co-Founder and CEO of Concert.TV, the first national live music television network. Over the course of six years, Jeff grew Concert.TV into one of the most successful on demand networks on television, reaching nearly 40 million households through distributors such as Comcast, Cox, Charter, Insight, DirecTV, Verizon and Dish. He also closed sponsorship deals with advertisers like Coca-Cola, AT&T, Visa, Levi's, Target, Starbucks, VW, Paramount, Warner Bros and Live Nation. Prior to founding Concert.TV, Jeff served in business development executive roles for NBC Internet and Quepasa.com. Jeff started his career as a corporate finance attorney for Linklaters in London after graduating from Georgetown Law School. Jeff lives at the beach. If he's not cooking mexican food for his wife or watching Yo Gabba Gabba with his two kids, he's probably in the water.
